Triaxial 3 lug BNC (female) to coaxial BNC (female) bulkhead adapter.  This series of adapter can be mounted into a chassis panel or between loose cable connections.  If panel mounted, the triaxial ground will be electrically connected to the chassis in any wiring configuration. This adapter work well in dark boxes, RF enclosures.

Please specify the point to point wiring configuration that you require for your adapter application.

79BJ20-E1-BJ79 Configuration:

Signal to signal / triaxial guard to coaxial ground / triaxial ground is floating

This configuration works well if you would like the coaxial ground to be connected to a "Driven Guard".  Please note that care must be exercised when using this adapter with an SMU.  In most instruments (SMU) with a "Driver Guard" the guard will follow the signal voltage.  The configuration offers the best performance for low current measurements, but added care must be considered with its usage.

79BJ20-E2-BJ79 Configuration:

Signal to signal / triaxial guard is floating / triaxial ground is connected to coaxial ground.

This configuration is good for general purpose testing where the lack of a "Driven Guard" will not impact the measurement accuracy.  This typically applies to low current measurements of double digit Pico amps and greater.
